In Loving Memory of Kevin Bruder and Shaun Salmon: Two Pillars of Utah Hockey
The Ogden Jr Mustangs organization is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of two pillars of Utah’s hockey community: Kevin Bruder, director of the Maverik Center and President of the Utah Grizzlies, and Shaun Salmon, a beloved coach for the Golden Spike and Eagles youth hockey associations, as well as a member of the Sr. Mustangs team. Their untimely departure leaves a void that will be felt throughout the state of Utah, where their contributions to the sport of hockey were immeasurable.
Kevin Bruder, a tireless advocate for the sport, was a driving force in the development and growth of hockey in Utah. As the director of the Maverik Center and president of the Utah Grizzlies, Kevin’s leadership shaped the lives of countless players, coaches, and families.
